Bounty Contracts Issued Across Stonington

UNICOM Monitoring Report – 10 May 2026

Survivors monitoring UNICOM traffic this evening reported an official broadcast originating from Stonington regarding newly issued bounty and contract work within the region.

According to the transmission, the Deer Isle Sheriff’s Office (DISO) has begun offering paid contracts and “cash jobs” directly authorised through the Sheriff-elect.

While specific targets and operational details remain undisclosed, the announcement strongly suggests that organised security and enforcement operations are continuing to expand across Deer Isle following recent instability around Trade House routes, Swansisland logistics activity, and increased survivor movement through the northern regions.

DISO representatives instructed interested survivors to either attend in person or establish contact over operational frequency 87.8MHz.

The nature of the contracts has not yet been publicly confirmed, though survivors speculate they may include:

  • fugitive recovery
  • bandit suppression
  • convoy escort work
  • reconnaissance operations
  • settlement security
  • transport protection

The broadcasts come only days after DISO personnel responded to an armed incident at the Trade House, where a lone shooter was reportedly neutralised before further casualties occurred.

As trade routes reopen and survivor populations slowly increase once again, many across the Deadzone are beginning to question whether isolated settlements are finally evolving into something larger.

For now, the frequencies remain active.

Monitor:
122.80MHz

The Deadzone is evolving every day.
